I have a client whose first language was cantonese and up until she was 6 or 7 years old, she was completely fluent in cantonese. Over time, english became her dominant language and now her cantonese is almost all forgotten. She now wants to become fluent in cantonese again. Is it possible through hypnosis/regression to bring back her fluency in cantonese to present day?
Any thoughts and opinions would be helpful. Thanks.

I would defuse any weird limiting beliefs she may have about speaking Cantonese -- for example that it will make her forget English -- and then tell her to get a Pimsleur Cantonese course out of the library.

Once she's renewed contact with the target language, you can use regression to ramp up her fluency.

Great advise Conrad. The language is there the memory cells just need to be stirred up. Once you get the synapses firing it will be a lot easier.

Sounds great- except that it wouldn't work for me at all because I don't have to feel the least bit hungry to crave dessert, and I wouldn't stop eating dessert just because I felt "full" (if ONLY!). I'd stop eating real "food" if I felt full, but no…

Hello Elizabeth, I'm wondering about this too. I've never done hypnosis via phone either. Do they use speaker phone so they don't have to hold the phone, or do you add in the suggestion that they are easily able to hold the phone throughout the ses…

What's In a Name I guess my main reason for avoiding this organization (I looked them over for a while) has been that they use both the words "clinical" and "hypnotherapy" in their name. I was on the NGH Special Committee that worked with the unio…
