Hypnotist Dave Knight claims to boost boob size

STAGE hypnotist Dave Knight may be telling whoppers by claiming he can make women’s boobs bigger, according to experts.
The North hypnotherapist says all women need do to get bigger breasts is listen to his CD . . . and he even gives a 100pc money back guarantee.
If his claims were true, women would be able to think themselves into having fulsome figures like that of glamour model Sophie Read.
Mr Knight’s remarkable claims come under the microscope in the new series of Inside Out, which starts this week, when presenter Chris Jackson decides to lift the lid on the world of hypnotherapy.
Together with his 10-strong investigative team, he shows how easy it is to set yourself up as an “accredited” hypnotherapist with absolutely no qualifications.
The investigation shows that while there are several hypnotherapy organisations, none of them are regulated by law and there are no standard qualifications.
When they investigate Mr Knight’s claims, they play a small section of his CD, in which the Northallerton hypnotherapist can be heard saying: “Your breasts are growing . . . growing larger now.”
He tells Inside Out that his figure is based on his own customer feedback and a study of 22 women carried out in the 1970s.
Chris said: “Mr Knight says his CD is 85% successful growing women’s breasts and given he’s made thousands from it, I wanted to find out exactly what evidence he has to back up his claim.”
Mr Knight claims women actually grow their own breasts with their minds, although the show meets an expert who says there is no research to show hypnosis can make boobs bigger.
Mr Knight said: “Every lady’s breasts today have been grown by the mind. The mind grows it, so the mind can enhance it. Fact.”
They also meet a hypnotist who claims to be able to help people stop smoking.
George McNaney from East Rainton, near Sunderland, is a self-proclaimed “hypnotist to the stars” who claims an “up to 90%” success rate for treating smokers using hypnotherapy techniques, for a one-off payment of £129.
Detailed clinical studies report that hypnosis can help only around 20-35% of smokers, but Mr McNaney responds by saying that he’s less interested in clinical tests than what works for his clients.
Inside Out learns that while Mr McNaney has a website offering hypnotherapy services, he isn’t the director of any registered hypnotherapy company.
He is, however, the director of an outfit that predicts who’s going to win at horse racing . . . so long as you send nearly £5300 to a South Shields PO Box for the privilege of finding out.
He claims this scheme is no longer in operation and was stopped before he became a hypnotherapist.
In last week’s Sunday Sun, Inside Out presenter Chris Jackson revealed his cat George would have a starring role in the programme. In tomorrow’s show the pet moggy becomes an “accredited” hypnotherapist.
Chris registered the ginger and white rescue cat with several seemingly professional industry organisations and all he needed was a fake diploma and a fee.
The fact that so many people are setting themselves up as experts worries hypnotherapist Andy Austin, who blows the whistle on his own industry.
He claims internet forums are full of clueless hypnotherapists.
He said: “People are often spending their money in good faith, believing that the person they are paying is fully registered, fully qualified and is a professional.”
However, some of the organisations with whom George the cat was registered applaud Inside Out’s investigative efforts.
However, one organisation responds by saying that they don’t check their applicants, saying they are merely a member benefits company.
:: Inside Out will be screened tomorrow night at 7.30pm on BBC One.

I shall be watching with interest, as the ex racing tipster, lives not ten miles from, me, ( I have never heard of him),

and Mr Knight from Northalerton (must be thirty miles from me... (never heard of him either) Obviously the researchers were not looking for reputable hypnotherapists to include, as no one approached me, (thank god!) But for people they could make easy marks.

If A TV company approaches you... don't bite their hand off, untill, you have seen, and agree to the written contract, with right to withdraw if it does not fit with your understanding of what the show was meant to portray.

Love and hugs,

The mind body connection has been used for decades in weight loss and shaping. Just a refresher course. The mind can kill, heal, and shape you body. Are you pulling our legs?

Seems its only on BBC Cumbria & North East

http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2009/10_octo...

If you have Sky check the details for all the BBC Channels and it seems they have their own local versions of Inside Out.

As my Fiancee has been saying for years "Theres No Such Thing As Hypnosis" its basically all Placebo and manipulative suggestion and its about time the worthless paper giving so called regulators were exposed for the money making scam artistes they are.

This guy is featured in the show: http://www.mindbodylifesolutions.com/

Funny really hes a member according to his own site of the following:

Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP)
Hypnotherapy Society (HS)
General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC)
General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR Reg)
National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP)
Accredited by the National Regulatory Register for Hypnotherapy (NRH)
UK Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKCHO)

All just make money by claiming to have power and authority when they dont...

Seems Andrew T. Austin blows the lid on the hypnosis industry which is funny when you consider what he said about my other half when he had employed him to present a hypnosis seminar evening for his local meet up group:

“Undoubtedly one of the funniest, most intelligent and hugely entertaining presentations on hypnosis, NLP and therapy I have experienced. Go and see Jonathan - he will rock your beliefs, make you laugh out loud and probably outrage you. The hypnosis and NLP world needs more people like him. Jonathan Royle - APPROVED!”

Enjoy the show should be very funny for those who dont already have their own niche market sewn up and those who have not already established their reputation of getting results each and every time (or the client gets thier money back)

This is not meant as a personal attack on anyone but there are way too many overly serious people in this industry which for those who are totally honest is nothing more than an elaborate placebo

Seems David Knight may not be very good at hypnotherapy, press reportrs seem to inidcate that his smoking cessation treatment does not include precautions for sympton substitution,

Apparently one person quit and then started eating 20 packs of Scampi Frys a day...

Hardly a good ad for hypnosis : )

This should prove interesting. While I myself have done successful breast enhancement sessions, etc. I wonder how they will report on the different hypnotherapy "accreditation" bodies.

REMEMBER Hypnosis and NLP are the biggest cons there are..

Ok they are Positive cons, to quote Steve Martin in the film "Leap of Faith"

"I may be real or I may be fake, but whats it matter how I get the job done so long as it gets done?"

It worrys me how so many so called hypnotists who should know better are brainwashed to "believe" tha Hypnosis is real..

When in fact there is no such thing as hypnosis, its all just Placebo, Suggestion and manipulative Psychology of the highest order.

When you face up to this reality and stop wasting money on courses that are of the style that brainwashed you in the first place and rather start studying works whi tell the truth (like my recent dvd sets) then as you learn more about the real workings of what some call "hypnosis" or NLP you actually become a far more powerful therapist and become able to successfully get better results with longer lasting efecs in a quicker time s you finaly hen using the real skills which actually account for so called hypnosis working..

Take a look at this linnks (not connected ot me in any manner) and open your mind to the fact that any Hypnotist is merely anator laying th part of what te client expect, believes of percieves a hypnotist to be and the better you do that the qicker and better your results will be..

I have question for you, Jonathan Royle aka Alex Smith,

Why is it always that you respond to some discussions with the additional self advertising and promoting your items in the end?

Why can't you just get involve for once without self promoting yourself and instead respond to the discussions it self?

Why is it always that you use other links to prove that most other hypnotist are scams, and therefore you not?

Personally when I see you all over like that, It makes me look at you as one of them, sorry but this is the impression you always give me, even if you are sincere with your intentions, is it maybe that you use your NLP and Hypnosis in a negative way to manipulate others? Again I apologies for my thinking, but honestly I can't help it but see you in this light of being The Ego Man, that cannot see nothing around himself but and only him self...

Respectfully, Doreen Cohanim C.Ht

Fable ....
The only thing I can add to your excellently written answer ... is .... Remember Wendi Freisen .... Remember Penn and Teller and then remember that just because it's on TV ... doesn't make it true.

Ah well. You surprise me Alex. While hypnosis is simply the means to enable a trance state, it is what we can do with a trance state that makes the difference. I would think you had a better understanding of what your career was about, or perhaps you really do, and it is now just coming out. I guess it can be just a con for some of us can't it.

Oh, and by the way... you might look up what the word "Placebo" really means. Some people think it means fake.. which is not true. Placebo is a medical term doctors have for positive results, or when healing is achieved, that is not obtained because of a drug influence. Where the body does it for itself because of expectancy. This is why the word Placebo is used in reference to hypnosis, because results are achieved without any drug influence.

Just FYI
John
