Seniors, their needs, and hypnosis. What's useful, helpful?

All,

I live near one of the Sun City retirement housing areas and we have a larger than usual proportion of seniors in our town. I want to work with seniors and will develop my hypnotic skills to support this.
Pain, loss, depression, fear, and problems with sexuality are among some of the difficulties that seniors suffer. Of course, the general population deals with the same problems.

What have you found to be most helpful with seniors?

Thanks for your advice and direction, Walt

By the way, I'm a senior.

My observation was from articles I read and individuals I spoke with in which the anticipation of the negative outcomes was very strong. For example- "I am going to have more pain as I grow older", or "I am going to lose the ability to think clearly". I understand the issues discussed are very real, but was wondering if working on this anticipation would help as well. I am relatively new to this area and hypnosis as well and would like to gain a deeper understanding.

And yes Gil, the alternative is not nearly as appealing!

Walt, congratulations on your employment decision! All the best!

Gil I agree!

However, I find myself making senior decisions about what I want to do/not do that would have been impossible when I was younger. Maybe my younger phase lasted longer than it should have.

Just made a big life decision with employment.

I am very interested in working with seniors as well and have been researching the area. Something that caught my attention was the percentage of younger adults who fear aging. Society tells us that growing older is bound to be an awful experience. I wonder how many seniors are stuck with these limiting thoughts on top of other issues.
