Fire Circle At Laurieston Hall in August 2008. You can just see my left hand and foot (wearing flip flops) on the right of the top picture.
In the bottom picture, I am just right of centre (the one wearing only birthday suit, as I had just come out of the wood burning sauna).

hi Scott,

I haven't seem much tree hugging going on in this group so far, but do't let that stop you, if that is what you are into, all kinds are welcome, as long as yu stick to the guidelines for the group.

Make sure after you have hugged your tree, that you cut a few branches off to keep the fire burning.

It looks a little, from your question, that you have not yet read the threads.
I reccomend you start with:
http://www.hypnothoughts.com/group/fablesfiresidestorytellingcirclecooperatition/forum/topics/welcome-to-the-fire-circle-1 as that sets the tone, and the groundrules, for the circle.

Love and (man) hugs,

Fable dude,

This group it's not all a bunch of tree-hugging hippie crap? There is I hope some practical stuff going on or am I really wrong?

Warmest Regards

Welcome to the fireside Scott,

You are the first new member here for quite some while, and it has been Quiet here for a bit.

Make youself at home, read through any or all of the past threads, at your own easy pace.

Feel free to put a log on the fire, whenever you feel it needs one.

I look forward to a bit of rekindling.

LOve and hugs,

Fable

Hello Story circle members,

As well as telling stories around a fire, it is nice to tell them in other locations.
I few years ago I created a story telling workshop, on the beach which involved the participants first creating a storytelling 'henge' in the sand, with seating circle around a central dias, which could be used as a canvas for individuals to illustrate their story by drawing with the storytelling stick which was passed round the circle.

On a later occasion, I created a Labrynth around a similar henge, with the idea that participants would first walk around the labrynth(or be guided round in a long meditative spiral dance) to eventually find themselves entering the henge, in a clocwise direction, where they could sit, and then take turns holding the stick and telling a story of how they came to be in the circle (or any other story)

A slideshow of the Labrynth and henge can be seen by folowing this link;
Click on play, and then click on "Show Info" (top right of the screen) to see the commentary.

thanks Aino, for starting a new story thread. and Sophie-Rose for adding to it.

I have been waiting in the backlground fro quite some time waiting fro someone to either continue an old thread, or to initiate a new one.

Of course I have been tempted to do it myself, but I have chosen to attempt not to contribute more than others. Just because I started the group, does not mean I need to feed it every day.

I look forward to some interesting and hopefully therapeutic/usefull continuations.
Having said that... to contribute, you don't have to try and be clever, and top the last person's contribution... every small contribution is a step along a journey that may trigger off ideas for others who are reading... whether they post or not.

I have had a lot of messages from people saying they are waiting for a next episode to some of the existing threads. So I invite all readers to review at least one thread each day, and see what thoughts come up, and simply start to type a continuation without censoring yourself (too much) you may surprize yourself with what comes out once you start typing.

and remember it is not a competition... it is a co-operatition, so have the intention at some level of co-operating with other contributers, and keeping a thread alive, rather than trying to top people, and thus killling the momentum.

Love and hugs,

Fable

Welcome to the fire circle Tom,

Make yourself at home, and feel free to pick up on any of the threads, or start your own thread.

It has been a little quiet recently, but I have heard that there are a few stories in the pipeline.

Love and hugs,

Fable
