Thank you Lee and Jackie. I have now decided to go ahead and take the course since the feedback regarding my question has been so very helpful and informative.

I just did the HMI pain course and for me, it was great. Yes, some was review but as Jackie said, the marketing part was very useful. It covered different techniques, triune brain, specific applications.

Josceleyne, I was in the HMI pain course. There was a bit of new information, but mostly it served to confirm how much I already knew (and I'm very new to hypnosis). There is great information on marketing to the medical community. If you sign up while the cost is low it may be worth your while.

Josceleyne,
Don't know anything about HMI's course. But Scott Sandland has a weekend course he teaches occasionaly that is very very good. Melissa Roth also does one that I have been told is great.

Hello there,
I did a course on Hypnosis and Sports provided by HMI and would now like to do their short pain management hypnosis course. Has anyone does this with HMI or can anyone recommend a better course than the HMI one. Thanking you, JOSceleyne

Hi everybody
I'm a hypnotherapist here in Los Angeles and just got hired at a chronic pain clinic to do hypnosis and CBT. I would love to expand my knowledge so that I can help my patients further. I am interested to know more about your MORF program for example, Dr. Virden. And if anybody else has suggestions for books, publications, methods that can help please send them my way. I have been dealing with pain clients for three years now and my current clientele are very severe pain patients who have been suffering for many years. I feel the need to broaden my expertise so I can help them better. All suggestions gratefully appreciated!
Many thanks, Carmen

I have that book and it's wonderful! I just bought the paperback and it was $14. US. It retails for $13.95 US in paperback, but most places sell it for much more than that, online.

Here are a couple of searches:
http://product.half.ebay.com/The-Worst-is-Over_W0QQtgZinfoQQprZ1963675
http://www.amazon.com/Worst-Over-Counts-Verbal-Relieve-Promote/dp/1588720241

I had a 'half.com wish list' watching for it, and that's how it turned up finally for $14.00. But that was a single book. You have to watch for it. You might be able to get it from Barnes & Noble for the list price, by ordering it.

I think it's a really great book!

Cheers,
-Patricia

Hi Gerry, Great to see ya! My guess is that her fear of vomiting concealed other social anxieties. After-all, I would think that she would be thrilled that she got "so" much relief in one session, instead she shares that: "I find it difficult to...

My response is that as a Christian, I don't know if there are past lives or not - I don't think so - but I don't care - that's not important to our work. What is important is to unhook a negative emotion that we may have label at an unconscious le...

I never propose past life regression to a client, but I'll do it if a client asks me for it. I always explain that I don't know whether people are reincarnated, so the experience might simply be an important message from their unconscious. You sh...

I'm really curious - how do you read Hebrews 9:27 to say anything about past lives? As I read it in context of the chapter it says that we die once (no more than once) and then we face judgment. It is not my job to mess with my client's faith. My...
