Hi Kima nice one.
Not long after qualifying I couldn't sleep one night so I came down and turned on the TV to find an operation for a hernia and a dental root canal, both were being shown live at the same time, both under hypnosis and without anaesthetic. I remember reading that it reduces blood flow to the area and the recovery is quicker. I have done post op cd's for people which helped but not pre-op. I look forward to the posts.

Kima--Great idea for a group! When my mom went to get her knee replacement, I made a pre-surgery CD for her to use.
Jackie--Melissa Roth has a great little book about how to get medical referrals.

A bonus for everyone involved!

Comment by Lee Pelletier on November 15, 2009 at 9:28pm - Jackie-my first physician client came to see me for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft pre-surgery hypnosis. My study led me to the idea of doing a future progression, and recalling all that went on in the surgery. There are many reasons why the pre-surgery relaxation is so important. I am glad to hear it went so well for you.

- My first paid hypnosis session just last July was pre-surgical. I studied like crazy, copied down scripts and notes and took everything with me not knowing quite what I would need. The client was having open heart surgery the next day. The session went beautifully. On the day of surgery she had NO anxiety (cool!), and healed faster than the nurses expected. It was an exhilarating start for this new career.

- This is a great idea for a specialty group Kima. Thanks for starting it. I am doing a pre-surgery session (second) for a client today, Monday the 16th. He is having a knee replacement. In today's session I will be doing a time-progression with him to a point 2-3 weeks after the surgery, reviewing what he went through and how marvelously it went.

For what it's worth, operating on the sound principle that it's easier and more effective to replace something than "eliminate it," the conclusion that I've come to after many years of study, research, therapy and providing hypnotherapy...
Similar things can be said about the "nine year" cycles of Numerology, based on birth year data. Each year in the nine year cycle stands for a different quality, so periodically a particular "year" may coincide with the seven year ending/beginning...
Thank you so much Sheila. I did not know that about guides. She is convinced that she is here to do something that she knows she is not doing, which is part of the sorrow she is feeling in her heart. She seems to be trapped in a very abusive past....
