Hello,

I never use progessive relaxation. Analytical clients do poorly with it and anxious client as well. It takes too long and clients don't go deep enough for regression work. I like Elman or rapid inductions. clients go in hypnosis deeply and quickly, leaving more time for therapy work.

It depends on the client, I use whatever is appropriate. I prefer progressive relaxation, maybe because I find it (personally) relaxing doing the induction, though I enjoy using mental confusion, sounds, I have recently had a couple of clients who were very audio. So it's what suits the client for me.

Nice to see a regression group.

I'm certified in PLR, age regression and some gestalt.

Just wondering if as a regression therapist which do have more success with, progressive relaxation, or clinical inductions?

If you want to learn Regression Hypnotherapy techniques, you could study with Randal Churchill at Hypnotherapy Training Institute, in Corte Madera, CA. He's an expert, amazing to watch and has written three comprehensive books on the subject. http://www.hypnoschool.com/

HTI is a GREAT place to train! Randal and Marleen are a brilliant teaching team, authentic, imaginative, thorough and wise and they bring so much more than that into the experience. It's a very special place to learn.

Best of luck with it!

Hi Ronnie,

if you want to learn regression in toronto, there is Georginna Cannon, Debbie Papadakis and Peggy Kelly who also teaches 5 Path hypnosis which is regression based.

NGH chapters are also a good way to meet other hypnotist and they have talks on different subject on hypnosis ( in Ottawa we have!)

cheers

Greetings,
I have experienced 2 sessions on myself and 1 in an introductory class.
At this point I would love to learn more with pursuit. It was an amazing, revealing experience.
Any suggestions on what materials, individual contacts, etc., to begin?
Does anyone know who I can connect with while I am in the San Fran area and, near Toronto, Canada area? Would be great to find a local group to meet with in person group......to learn and practice.
I could start my own group and draw those that are meant to be....
Thanks,
Best to all,
Ronnie

Hi Paul
It's a method we were taught, I find it brilliant for dealing with the cause using Gestalt and sometimes doing some inner child work, the shift in a clients face sometimes says it all or when they come out of hypnosis. Good luck with your studies.

I am so interested in this area, it just seems to me that real change can only come from finding and dealing with root causes. Just starting out I haven't got the chance to explore this yet, but I can't wait.

Hello Martine. I have Baldwin's book. I saw Cal Banyon yesterday at the convention. Man, you can feel his magnificent magnetic energy across the loby of the hotel. Thank you for your advice. I really need more training in the area.. more hands on.

I had a great time at the NGH conference. The stage shows were great. Jerry Valley and Tommy Vee. AWESOME!

No regression done on stage, which is always a great to see. I love seeing someone write on an overhead projector the way they did when they were 13,, then when they were 6 or 7 ish.

Anyone at the conference now??

Hi MaryJane,

I have done spirit releasement using mostly the method of William Baldwin. I am a 5 Pather and I have done it like Cal Banyan, but I find Baldwin's more thorough (and more then Fiore's). Baldwin's book is the bible of spirit releasement, actually it was his Ph dissertation. He acknowledges Fiores has a pioneer. Cal' sells a spirit releasement course and Georgina Cannon also teaches a course on the subject.
