Question - I've got a smoking client that I've worked with only once, and I expect great results from our session. I would not call him resistant though he gives me the feeling he's worried about 'missing something' ... the complication is that he's hard of hearing, even with 2 hearing aids. He seems to want to check (open his eyes periodically) to be sure that he's not missing anything. Any advice with working with hard of hearing clients? G

If you haven't joined the members section on www.worldhypnotismday.com or joined the group on this site please do so...we need the help of the wave of the future. Please support your profession by getting involved with whd!
There are just a few more days before WHD but you still have time to take action. If you go on the members section of www.worldhypnotismday.com then you will find some awesome press releases that you can use free of charge. I sent them to my press contacts and now I am definitely getting two articles (including pictures) and possibly a video in the multimedia page of a newspapers website. Im not saying this to impress anybody but to impress upon you how easy it is to get lots of free publicity and advertizing.
All you need to do is:
1. Download the free press release and edit with your information
2. Go to your local newspaper, TV, and radio websites
3. Go to the contact page and email the press release to as many people as you can find.
4. Reap the rewards of free advertizing and publicity.
Be known this year as the local expert! Take advantage of the free press releases and get your mayoral proclamation. It is so easy!

How is everybody doing?
Sorry to be non-existant the last few weeks. I was very busy working on some big projects and finally have some free time again to spend on here.
I hope everybody is preparing for a big year and doing their part for World Hypnotism Day. I would love to hear how all of you are doing and especially what big plans you have for 09!

I'm young at heart, although I'm part of the older generation physically. Regarding hypnotherapy, I feel as though I have one foot in the past and one foot in the future. Some of what I learned from the late Charles Tebbetts still seems on the cutting edge...and often it's a challenge to know what was really part of hypnosis in the 1980's from the new client centered approaches in the 21st Century. Others have told me that I'm on the cutting edge...but how is that possible for someone who teaches what he learned 25 years ago?
Sometimes I'm amazed at the realization that the longer I'm in this profession, the more I realize that there is to learn. We are only touching the TOP of the tip of the iceberg regarding the inner mind.

Whats new everybody? Anybody have any major success stories to share? I just received a letter from a man named Darryl who quit smoking 3 packs and dropped 105 pounds in a year! It truly is amazing how powerful our minds really are.
I want to hear more for all of you. What are you doing with your clients? What success stories do you have to share? What are your specialities or main areas of interest? I really want to learn more about all of you and about the awesome work everybody is doing.
