Good news everyone... there is a facelift for the WHD website. Knowing how well Google indexes blogs, it is now a functioning blog. You can post comments and more. The benefits are many but we all need to participate.

Also, anyone wanting to get access to the valuable Member Resources simply needs to follow this:

To gain access to the Member Resource area at www.worldhypnotismday.com simply click this link below and sign in with your information. When you do, the Welcome page that you are directed to contains the username and password for the WHD Members area. Be sure to save this information as it remains the same.

Hope everybody is doing awesome and wish all of you well. I am doing an recap article on WHD. What I am looking for is the 3 most interesting stories or experiences that happened around the world. In order to do this, I need help from all of you. This article is due by the end of the week so please share your stories on the discussion board. When the article is finished I will post it for everybody.

Hi Edward - thank you for your comments. A variety of hypnotists have contributed to the resources area which makes it good for everyone.

Contact Martin from here and ask him. I'm sure if anything can be done with audio and video, Martin knows.

Thank you Tom for all of of the great resources on the WHD page.

Your free samples of hypnosis are far better than what most hyps are selling!

Also, I was wondering if Martin K. could explain how to add audio to a powerpoint presentation?

Beryl, there are so many good points in your post - Congratulations!!

However, the point that is so much related to WHD and its mission is... "The article brought in many calls from people who were curious to realise that we hypnotists even existed here!"

That is the point of WHD being started. To make aware to the people in your area that this service exists, what it can be used for and to increase recognition for you and your services - a Win Win situation.

Thank you for acepting the invitation to become the WHD Lead in Dubai. No one better could have been asked...

WHD was celebrated for the first time in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on 4th Jan 2009. The first time only because previously the WHD website was blocked by censorship here. Tom Nicoli thought that hugely funny and we wondered what exactly he was doing on the site!!!
So, with short notice Beryl Comar (that's me!) organised a Hypnotic House Party for all the certified hypnotists, NLPers and friends. I gave a powerpoint introductory talk on hypnosis which generated lots of discussion and gave the download to all who participayed in the event so they can continue to adapt it, use it etc to promote hypnosis throughout our fair land. Following the talk we discussed standards of practice in UAE, various successful, interesting or challenging case studies and how better to work together to promote our wonderful profession.
The Gulf News reported the event - unfortunately calling it World Hypnosis Day in error - but we will live with that for now and make sure next year is reported differently. The article brought in many calls from people who were curious to realise that we hypnotists even existed here!
We formed a standing committe for organising a much bigger and public event in 2010 - and committed to meeting together every two months on 4th of the month to plan and organise the event.
We have awesome opportunities and want to continuing keeping standards high - to earn the trust of the authorities now we have gained some ground.
