Hi Adrian. I don't believe the teenage guys here do have any recognition, for a start they are only hypnotists, not therapists, and as far as I am concerned hypnotists only give us a bad name. Imagine how hard it is to convince someone who needs treatment for suicidal depression that I'm not going to make them cluck like a chicken! Why not get some people lined up in Zambia who need therapy and I'll come up for a week as I do in Botswana and we can chat

Hi Adrian, You can do the South African Institute of Hypnotism course, have a look at their website, www.hypnotherapy.co.za. The course costs about R12,000 it is spread out over a year if you like, and a friend of mine is their trainer here. That course gets you started, and qualified which is the most important thing in Africa. I hope you are not training people whilst not qualified yourself. Have a look at www.hypnotherapysa.co.za, my website, hopefully revised this weekend, to see some more about my adventures. I practice in Fourways Johburg and also in Botswana, also a registered Traditional Doctor, and spend about a week a month in Gaborone. If you need a qualified hypnotherapist in Zambia let me know and we could make a plan, Keep in touch, Best Regards, Art Long CHt

Daytime dreaming to me is a form of waking hypnosis and also a way for your unconscious mind to realize those things in life that you want to accomplish... ala NLP. I'm not necessarily talking about daydreaming, but actually settiing aside some time…

Kelly, the redirection to joy is an interesting concept. Has nothing to do with getting a new car for Christmas! I believe the reason emotions fail, and then prevail over actions is due to what the Behavioral Psychologists term "Associational Lear…

Excellent point James! Spock IS "so showy" (and frighteningly authoritarian) with his techniques, and he therefore most probably DOES "give all Vulcans a bad name". As a matter of fact, his signature "Vulcan Mind-Meld" technique looks UNCANNILY like…
