It is part of my corporate and product liaility insurance. I doubt one can just buy hypnosis cd insurance. It is priced very individually under product liability and in some cases publishers liability and or covered under an umbrella policy. Best ...

Hope this is the right place to ask-- but does anyone have any experience obtaining liability insurance to cover producing and selling (self-)hypnosis CDs, DVDs, etc. I already have an LLC (this is not sufficient in itself) and standard insurance ...

Happy to say I completed HMI's advanced training today-- including the LONG final exam ;-) I've been working on my web site and marketing in parallel with all of this so hope to be officially launched very shortly. (I'm taking a slightly different...

Wow that is awesome. Congrats on finishing. Was the final exam online, the same as each lesson? I'm taking the advanced training however I'm only on Module 4 and even though I love the classes, I am have been quite slack on actually practicing. Hoping to get better at that. :)

I just finished my verbal exam and made it. of course about half of it was trying to get me to sign up for the next course but thats to be expected. I printed out the certificate and I was very impressed with the course overall. I think I may very well continue on

Just thought I'd drop in and say hello as I'm also a Ph.D. in Linguistics (Columbia) and about to retire from teaching at the Univ. of Oulu (Finland). Isn't it strange that people working in Critical Discourse Analysis haven't picked up on the link with NLP/hypnosis scripting?

Welcome. It's good to have you here. I think you will enjoy being part of this community. Also, check out the Global Hypnosis eSummmit (see links of main page of this site). It is an amazing way to learn a world of new things about hypnosis. I think you will find it valuable.

What are you looking for on this site?
Information, networking, ideas, open-minded friends.
About Me:
Had my first experience with hypnosis in college, upon my doctor's recommendation, to help with migraines. Drugs helped decrease their frequency. Hypnosis helped manage the pain when they did come. That was really impressive!

Completed HMI's excellent advanced training course and always studying other theories and approaches as well. Also hold a Ph.D. in Theoretical/Psycho/Computational Linguistics from Harvard. I spent many years as a professor and research scientist in natural language processing (the other NLP!). The relationship between linguistics and hypnosis is quite deep and I think not completely appreciated-- especially by linguists.
Hobbies:
Animal welfare and rescue.
Linguistics
Handwriting Analysis/Graphology
Vegetarianism/Veganism
Music (dulcimer, Irish flute, keyboard, many others)
Drawing/Painting
GLBT Issues (is that a hobby?)

In the UK? Things are different here, with the 1952 hypnotism act governing stage hypnosis and no regulation at all on therapeutic approaches maybe we can moan about our stuff and be here to help our overseas friends if they want to come here.
