I would like to ask if you have additional training to deal with dementia? Unless you are trained in mental health i would have to advise to refer someone out that has dementia unless you have been properly trained to deal with it.
I have a seperate entrance as well. I think that is the best way to do it if you are going to have it at home. Also it helps that I am in a commercial area with a yoga studio and chiropractor next door.
I always tell myself now the same thing. If I cannot read it, recognize it or an ingredient has more than 10 syllables then don't put it in your mouth.

There's a book "Instant Self-Hypnosis" by Forbes Blair. It's not expensive. All about reading to do trance work.
