Hi, All! Alas, I missed last night's ASPH meeting, largely because of time and distance. If it was earlier in the day or closer to where I work/live it would be much easier. Which leads me to this question. Anyone here aware of professional hypno...

Finally made it to my first meeting at ASPH. It took me so long to get to it because I'm in Deer Valley and the meeting is in Scottsdale, and it was a bit tricky to make myself drive all the way out there. I'm very glad I did, though, and I can't...

Yes, the way it's set up, a direct link may not work. If you click on "Archives" on the menu to the left, it will bring you to a page where you can click a big red "1" which you'll find in the middle of the page. That will open a PDF of the whole ...

Dean... Good question regarding frequency. The bulk of my practice is chronic pain, and I've only seen one person who was diagnosed with CRPS, so I'll agree with Michael regarding the rarity. Hrmnn....I wouldn't be too surprised to see the freque...

What are you looking for on this site?
I am hoping to conveniently network with other hypnotherapists, discuss the latests trends and research in hypnosis and hypnotherapy, and facilitate the development of the field.
Areas of Specialty:
My clinical work has primarily been with individuals struggling with chronic pain, substance abuse, anxiety and mood disorders, and those coming to terms with challenging life experiences.
About Me:
I received my Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology at Western Michigan University and enjoyed a career as a neuroscientist in the field of behavioral neuropharmacology. I soon realized, however, that in order to create any impact in the world outside of the laboratory, I would need to work with real people and help meet the challenges that they experience through their unique lives. Returning to school, I respecialized in Clinical Psychology at the Arizona School of Professional Psychology and became a licensed psychologist in the state of Arizona. I have also completed training in Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute and am a member of the Arizona Psychological Association, the Arizona Society for Professional Hypnosis, the American Association of Professional Hypnotherapists, the American Society for the Advancement of Pharmacotherapy, and the American Psychological Association.
Hobbies:
