Meeting With the Surgeon

So...I need to have a hernia repair ...no biggy. The doc already did an umbilical hernia repair 9 years ago with a little local & 50 mg. of Demerol (nothing dose) and self-hypnosis. This is just a little bit higher. We are going to do the same thing but this time the hospital rules are that there needs to be an anesthesiologist present. I'll bring my intra-op hypnosis CD I've made, and wow the anesthesiologist I am sure.

But the interesting thing of note is the look on the surgeons face, wh… Continue

Yvonne Schwab

In memory of Yvonne I thought I would share this.

Seth-Deborah

In Memoriam: Yvonne Schwab

We were stunned to hear of the passing of Yvonne. She was a graduate of our school and a teacher here as well. She taught Hypnosis for Childbirth, and she was loved by many students. She was vivacious, enthusiastic, and kind, and her energy is missed. She was an ardent supporter of HypnoBirthing, and she was making plans to do more HypnoBirthing teaching with the founder, Marie Mongan, but that was no… Continue

Hypnosis Helps a Life Time Problem

I thought I might share this recent note I received. It is what makes this work so gratifying!! After only 1 session, this womans life time struggle with not being able to wake up stopped. She was also able to stop the unconscious pulling out of her eye lashes.

It has been one full week and I am sooooooo pleased! No eyelash pulling and I do the tapping thing every day in the shower to reaffirm that "I grow them lush and long". Also, I have been awakened naturally at 5am every day - you wereContinue

Hypnosis Relieves Years of Fecal Retention Syndrome

This field of medical hypnosis is so powerful!

I was referred a 12 year old girl with years of Fecal Retention Syndrome.
After having batteries of medical testing procedures, biofeedback and working with a psychologist she was told it was a "habit". The parents were besides themselves and finally gave me a call.

After the induction of hypnosis, we regressed to the first time of the bowel incident. She was 2 years old and standing behind the "big chair". Her daddy was in front of the chair. She… Continue

Hypnosis during a Vasectomy

On Friday, I used supplemental hypnosis during a Vasectomy. My husband is the Urologist who did the surgery. He has been so impressed with hypnosis that he felt that this would be an good application for hypnosis.

The patient was not prepped beforehand with any hypnosis pre-talk. He had never experienced hypnosis before and had no idea what it was all about. He was told that I could help him relax and asked if he would like that.. Hypnosis music was played with headphones at a level where the p… Continue

Exciting News

Exciting News!!

I have just been invited to present at the 2008 Holistic Healing Conference in Guangzhao, China in June.
In looking at the map, I see it is in Southern China, near Hong Kong, and have been told they speak Cantonese there. I guess I won't get to use those Mandarin lessons I have been taking.;>)

Hi Seth-Deborah,

Thank you for your welcome to Hypnothoughts. I am hoping to have a chance to speak with you at the NGH Solid Gold Weekend at the end of February, in Las Vegas. I have a successful private practice in Brea, CA and am a graduate of HMI.....but, to-date have not joined NGH. I guess, I am hoping you would not mind giving me some feed-back on the upcoming NGH weekend. Would you consider it an opportunity for a non-NGH person to network with some of the presenters on a one-to-one basis? Any other words of wisdom on how to make it a completely fulfilling event (in terms of education and networking) would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
