OK Rusty, I know I said any comments would be appreciated but could you elaborate?

I was wondering if anyone has seen Rich Guzzi's show before. He is coming into town next week and I will probably go see him but I was hoping to get some reviews of what his show is like. He is performing Thursday thru Monday with Sunday's show be...

My first induction was a PMR with a staircase deepener. It worked but I just didn't feel like it was right for me. Since then I have been using a modified Elman/Banyan induction and I love it. ~Jack

I'm not sure why you say that it's not something they could do before. I think it's more accurate to say they don't realize they have been doing it their entire lives (highway hypnosis, becoming totaly absorbed in a book or movie, just closing the...

Hugh, I agree with you regarding Mark Cunningham's training. I have seen the New Curriculum videos and now wish I had taken the training in person (I still might). He doesn't waste any time going over the history of hypnosis, he figures you can g...

Hi Michael, I have done both. I got started in hypnosis through distance learning. I bought Jerry Kein's basic to advanced class on E-bay and went through it. I learned so much from those videos and yet I still felt like I was missing something. ...

Scott, The Dual induction is a great add. I have just started playing with this idea and as you said it does overwhelm the conscious mind. It is great to just pepper in "That's right... just let go... and sleeeeeep" and have it moving around from...

My pleasure Fable. The great thing is you can create a beat taylored to the length of your recording. What I have done is created a sound file that is about an hour long, starting at about 8 Hz, for 10 minutes and then transitioning to 4 Hz, for t...

You can creat your own using Audacity (free software download). I have given Amanda the instruction that I use to create the binaural beats and I will paste them into this message. Binaural beats can be created in Audacity. If you don't have it g...

One way you can soften the coma threat is to tell them "I know you feel very comfortable right now and if you will open your eyes on the count of (fill in the count you want to use) I will teach you how to enter this state any time you want on you...

This is a vitally important topic and one of the key areas where hypnosis can do things that other disciplines either cannot, or if they can the expense of the process is incredible. If I wanted to be a wiseguy I would say it is an extraordinarily...

This is a subject potentially important to me and my wife. We got pregnant earlier this year but had a miscarriage early on. And of course, subsequent attempts haven't taken. I'd agree with everyone who mentions stress and relaxing. My wife is st...

Walt, I'm going to throw my support in for Richard Nongard also. I flew down to Dallas from upstate NY to take Richard's Course back in April of this year. In my opinion Richard is a great teacher. He is very entertaining and very approachable an...

Hi Jack, Try to get ahold of Lisa Machenberg at Hypnosis Motivation Institute.. She's done a ton of work in this area. There' an HMI group here but I would do a google search for HMI (I think its www.hypnosis.edu) and contact her through that web...

I was going to suggest the same thing Dennis did. I love binaural beats. Every person I have used them with has raved about how easily they transition from a fully alert state to a hypnotic state and right into a deep sleep state. Good luck ~Jack

Hey Jack, I saw that story on channel 2 the other day, and as soon as the story ended, there was a drug add for whatever, and than all of the disclaimers including "Might cause paralysis, might cause nose bleeds, high blood pressure blah,, blah,,...

Intersting reaction from a client

I had an intersting reaction from a client that I thought I would share. During my induction I told the client that when she goes into trance, she may notice her arms feeling heavier or lighter either one is fine. A pretty standard line that I am sure many people use. After emerging her during the post hypnotic interview she revealed that during the entire session she felt as if one arm was made of stone and the other felt as if it was going to float up off her lap at any time. I also made a rec… Continue

Thanks-
but why do I look so angry? Couldn't you have found a less evil looking frame to capture?

That's me alright. I was there for Mark's first teaching of the new curriculum in Vegas a few years back. Fun class, fun people, etc.

Glad I went. I didn't know I had made the final edit, thanks for the heads up,

Should I get insurance before I even find an office? yes if you are regularly working with people in their homes.

Where is the best place to get insurance and do I need to belong to a professional organization to get insurance? Join a hypnosis association and go with who they recommend.

What comes first business cards or office? Business cards
As far as an office is concerned what is more important location or marketing?
Location needs to be safe, but being on a main st isn't important as long as you can be found easily.
Also concerning an office; I may have an opportunity to share an office with an acupuncturist. This is a good idea and you maybe able to cross refer.

Blessings and Abundance!

I can second that, I have a lightscribe system and it's excellent. Specialist discs are needed but at just a few pence more it makes no odds and the results are fantastic.
