Cultivating The Core Self

I believe that a great deal of suffering is caused by not being in touch with our authentic self. We repress our feelings and find ourselves in situations we don't want to be in, and even living lives that aren't in line with our own values. A wide array of symptoms and issues can pile up, until one day something inside wakes up and says "enough". The process of turning inward to dismantle and reconstruct our thoughts and feelings is often difficult, but few things are as rewarding as letting go of what is no longer serving us, and living from the peace and innate wisdom of the core self.

Hypnosis is an incredibly powerful gift that has the ability to make this process much more efficient and tolerable, even enjoyable.

Hi Wendy, I'm a student so I don't have working experience with children. But I am currently in a hypnosis for children course, so I'm particularly interested in this subject right now. What do you know about the family dynamic? Have you explore...

I'm sure it has more to do with what everyone else is saying here, but, I wonder if it's possible that this is just good old fashioned "reverse psychology". I have found in my personal sessions (in the chair) that, if I'm not in a deep trance, I'...

A lovely hypnotic moving mandala with two great songs blended together. If you're a fan of the Beatle's psychedelic days, this is a must see. The two songs blend together perfectly. The lyrics, the music, and the video offer quite a beautiful tran...

I know it would be asking a lot of Scott, but I wonder if it would be helpful to either add a section for scripts in the Hypnopedia, or add a special archive module to this group page. It would be really nice to have all the scripts arranged alpha...

I'm with Scott on this. I think fear of competition springs from a mentality of poverty and lack. Not that I have any experience with that mindset myself, of course. I have this friend... Anyway, from a marketing perspective, many of these issue...

I looked around and found that, in numerology, the number 9 implies completion. It is also a very important number - symbolizing divine completion - in the Bahai Faith. In the context of a chronological date, maybe it could symbolize the culminat...

Thanks for your replies, everyone! I already feel like I have a much better idea of what to expect when I start my practice. And, most importantly, I feel relieved that most of you look at "competition" the way that I do. I'm really happy to be j...

Other hypnotists are not "the competition"; they are "the cooperation." In Austin, we have a monthly get-together of hypnotists to support one another, trade tips, collaborate on marketing and reasearch, and so on. Sure, some hypnotists will snu...

I honestly don't believe hypnotherapists compete with each other. The market is so far from saturated and the amount of variety and specialty of practitioners means we will never have a shortage of clients (at least not in the foreseeable future)....

Agreed! Competition is great. Hopefully the other Hypnotists are good. Let me explain. The more awareness this industry and your geographic area receives on the benefits of Hypnosis the more business your going to see. When someone comes to see a...

Oh dear, I have quite a different perspective. I don't go out and attempt to convert people who haven't asked for it into clients. People I meet, are people I meet... that is my private social life. I simply do not plan to use hypnosis with them...
