Completely agree.... i did an online course first and then a weekend course BUT i am totally passionate about what i do, live and breathe everyone's experience here and am continuiing to learn and grow and will always... I feel i have found my cal...

I have just joined the group and want to say "hello".
I am based in Newcastle upon Tyne and am interested in meeeting up with fellow hypnotherapists for an exchange of ideas, etc. I am prepared to travel, but not too far, and not too often.

Should hypnotism be fun?
I was recently in a discussion about the ethics of testing hypnosis and adding some fun to the process when dealing with change.
I think whether to test and experiment and convince the hypnotee with a stiff arm or by sticking their hand to their head is a question of style more than ethics.
Personally I always amuse and entertain my clients and students. Dopamine seems to work very well in assisting change and is ultimately what everyone wants to feel. No matter what they present.

- just read your comments on "What is NLP?" regarding academic research on the claims of the originators - everything you stated was factually correct in the main but I can't get over the response you evoked, and even more so, your gracious reply.Are you getting old, bored with responding to narrow minded NLPers or is it that you just couldn't be arsed to continue ... For what it's worth, operating on the sound principle that it's easier and more effective to replace something than "eliminate it," the conclusion that I've come to after many years of study, research, therapy and providing hypnotherapy...
Similar things can be said about the "nine year" cycles of Numerology, based on birth year data. Each year in the nine year cycle stands for a different quality, so periodically a particular "year" may coincide with the seven year ending/beginning...
Thank you so much Sheila. I did not know that about guides. She is convinced that she is here to do something that she knows she is not doing, which is part of the sorrow she is feeling in her heart. She seems to be trapped in a very abusive past....
