Gee, Scott, I'm pretty sure some proper hypnotists use hypnosis for many things other than picking up chicks. And I'm pretty sure a lot of them use that outmoded tool called an induction.
BTW, if you go after hypno-fetish chicks, you'd better own...
Scott, I don't know anyone who uses the watch and what is a "traditional induction"? I think your thinking about NLP instead of a hypnosis.
I have met many proper hypnotist that use "old fashion “inductions”" I think your theory is not right.
Bruce--check out John's book and his color expectancy induction. I got a chance to field test the induction recently, and it works very well.

Instead of thinking how you are explaining the wonders of hypnosis to people, think of it more as planting a seed for the possibility of change. People in general are frightened of change and it takes a while for that seed to take root...

Just a little frusterated rant.
I've been doing alot of thinking lately about hypnosis. (lol I always do alot of thinking about hypnosis. it's an obsessive passion.) Stage hypnosis...
Tonight I went and saw a Stage hypnosis show at an amusement park I went to visit. Since I have begun studying hypnosis after having had the experiences I had with it... I found it very entertaining. I was very curious to see his induction and suggestability tests. Moreso It was great seeing the reactions of those that were hypnotized.
