What are you looking for on this site?
Getting in touch with people, learning much more about hypnosis and hypnosis techniques.
Areas of Specialty:
I like the idea of motivational hypnosis, especially for sports and general working out. But also am interested in what psychological areas hypnosis can help, especially on anxiety disorders.
About Me:
Hypnosis is just a hobby to me. Still being a student (chemistry major) doesn't really give me either the money nor the time to attend courses. So it would be great to meet new people on here to learn more and maybe even find someone local for more practical studies. There's so much the mind can do.
I should add, that English is just my second language and therefore if a conversation becomes very theoretical and scientific, I might not get everything right away.
Hobbies:
When I'm not at the laboratories or buried under books and papers, you probably find me dancing. Either in a group with 15 other people or just with my dancing partner, learning new movements.

I'm in Northampton, but you should be able to find someone closer than that.

I'm guessing this refers to Albert Ellis, founder of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (and grandfather of CBT). Check Amazon for loads of his books.

Profound subconscious change happens through Yoga and Hypnosis. When we combine the two, the positive effects to mind and body are almost immediately life altering. This is a place where hypnotists and yogis, and everyone in between, are welcome.

Research also shows that you can be a success using text trance if you use an extra space here and there to note out words or phrases to the unconscious mind.

To inbed a message, does it have to stand out from the rest of the text, or will the subconscious see it anyway?

Susan, It's a good thing that you care about the service your providing, it shows that it really matters to you. My old boxing coach use to say to me, 'The day you don't feel nervous before a fight, is the day you lose' and he was right, I alway...

Greg, the main thing here is a thorough intake interview and look at all the triggers and then work to desensitize them. Keep in mind too there is a condition called hyperacusis, which is sensitivity to loud sounds and often seen in people who hav...

I thought you might have meant "Albert." Have you tried googling it, looking at wickipedia or even amazon.com, where you can often see excerpts of the books and may find your quote there, and some additional information about him? Susan

there is much to learn from the distant past, and thats what the yogis taught, how to help others in the journey on the path of life

I have no idea what this is. My observation of people who do Yoga is that they are happier and more centered than most. I could use some happy.

Hi Kelley, It helps and thank you for it but as I chew on the information, I still wonder (and I have the feeling that it may be one sentence or two that I just haven't discovered yet) how to respond to a client who is hot to trot, ready to go, s...
