Free Hypnosis Tips... in 140 letters or less???

Hi
I've been wondering lately whether twitter really can be used to effectively communicate useful information, given the short characters limit, so, I decided to begin a bit of an experiment.

I have written a bunch of short, sharp hypnosis tips (such as quotes from Milton Erickson, language pattern examples, and simple advice) and hooked it up to a fancy twitter machine thing I found which will auto post them once or twice a day. I'll also manually post ideas / news etc myself.

So, if you hav… Continue

"It Doesn't Work!

Looking at this forum, and hypnosis forums elsewhere (and my own personal message inbox and email) we seem to be flooded by the same question over and over again.

It basically reads "I am trying to hypnotize but it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?"

When trying to answer them all individually, find out what exactly is happening in that instance, and explain how to fix it, I noticed some constant underlying themes verified by my own memories of what it was like to be just starting out.

Two 'Lost' Hypnosis Articles

While searching through my old computer files I came across these two articles I wrote quite a while back.
For some reason, neither found their way onto KeysToTheMind.
Although they are old, the information is pretty solid, so I thought i'd make them available to you here.

I have published them as PDF files, so please feel free to download, read, share and distribute.

I hope you find them useful!

Real World Street Hypnosis Seminar

Hey all
Many of you may have head I recently conducted my first live training seminar in Auckland, New Zealand.
It was a very fun day and I think I learned at least as much as my students :)

We had 20 students there and focused on building confidence using instant and rapid inductions and eliciting suggestion phenomena in Street or Impromptu settings, as well as how to use hypnosis as a 'force for good' and leave the subject feeling wonderful and inspired.

Training others in hypnosis is such a… Continue

Hey, Nathan. Quick question ... did you refer me to someone wanting to do a show? Got a voicemail this afternoon saying they were given my number by "Nathan of teenagehypnosis.com" (or something that sounded very similar to that, at least).

If so, 1) thanks, and 2) do you know what kind of show they're working on?

I'm guessing this refers to Albert Ellis, founder of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (and grandfather of CBT). Check Amazon for loads of his books.

Profound subconscious change happens through Yoga and Hypnosis. When we combine the two, the positive effects to mind and body are almost immediately life altering. This is a place where hypnotists and yogis, and everyone in between, are welcome.

Research also shows that you can be a success using text trance if you use an extra space here and there to note out words or phrases to the unconscious mind.

To inbed a message, does it have to stand out from the rest of the text, or will the subconscious see it anyway?
