Last Night I Taught at Med School

Recently I was invited to teach a module to first year med students on Complimentary and Alternative Medicine at UC Irvine. This is a school known for having a great science department, including its medical school and integrative medicine research. Obviously, I was very excited to be given the opportunity to present there.

The class is an elective for first year med students, and has been growing in content over the last few years. It started with only acupuncture, and has since grown. This is… Continue

R.I.P. Dr. Don Jay Hunter

The first message ever posted on this site was a note of remembrance I posted for one of my great friends and teachers, Janet Macy. Today I find myself in a similar place as I did just over a year ago. One of my greatest teachers in life, and a man who has had a profound impact on the person I am and hope to be, is gone.

Dr. Don Hunter passed away today at the age of 92. His wife of almost seventy years and two of his three children were by his side in his hospital room. For those of us who lov… Continue

A few ideas to GET MORE CLIENTS

With the current economy and the holidays upon us, I hear hypnotists talking about, "the slow season" or the dead time before new years resolutions and wonder, "what are they talking about?" Some are even talking about lowering their rates just to stay busy. That just doesn't make sense to me at all.

Last December was my busiest month of the entire year. This one isn't quite as packed as last year, but I'm seeing 16 clients this week (3 had to reschedule to next week due to flu or family… Continue

The 10 Blogging Commandments

Just thought I would pass this on to all of you. I think it is great advice for members of this site, just change a few words here and there to make it HypnoThoughts specific.

Here ya go:

...The Times Online is reporting that church leaders for the Evangelical Alliance have drawn up ten blogging commandments, meant to mimic the ten commandments that were delivered to Moses by God at the top of Mount Sinai.

Each of the commandments takes its inspiration from the real ten commandments:

How disgusting. I've had intellectual property stolen and then it was altered on top of that.
I no longer participate becasue of the theft. Does it hurt that I won't participate in my genealogy reseach? Yes, but I will be doggoned if I'm going to spend my hard earned money and time doing the reseach, have someone steal it and then alter it for all of history.

How dare you steal people's hard earned work that they've put their heart and soul into. Who do you think you are and why do you think it o.k. to commit this kind of crime? I I bet you were the cheat in school. How about doing an honest day's work for yourself. Wouldn't that be satisfying.

Scott I'm terribly sorry that this has happened, I understand your frustration at least to the best of my ability I understand. Prosecute to the maximum extent that you can --I support you all the way. The pond slim need to pay for their crime.

I have been having trouble with viewing the videos in the Hypnosummit library. I get to about 10 mins in and they freeze , I have updated Adobe but i still get the same problem . The only video i have watched(during hypnosummit) was the one you did on hypnosis in dentistry which was excellent. I hope i can get to see the rest .

Hi Scott,
I have a question for you as a moderator.
How long does it usually take for a video to be approved?
I've been waiting for 3 days now, is this normal or has my video failed?
Look forward to your reply.
John
