Hi Sophie.

i took the name from the 'Now that's what I call music' series which is huge in the UK and Europe.

It just seemed appropriate.

Have a nice day.

They have several programs. I purchased the MindWorkstation which is rather pricey for software. You can actually download it for free and play with it awhile to see if it is something you would like.

Good to hear from you.

Hey Dennis

Thanks for the message. Sorry I havent been online in a long time. Where can I get the music that you have on your computer? You mentioned you use it for the cds you make for clients. What is the name of the program and can you send me a website for purchase/download?

Hi Dennis

I really like the music on your website. Its so soothing and relaxing. Where did you get it from? Did you add this music to your weight loss cd?

I'm now to this site and new to hypnosis. I would love to learn more about it and eventually have it as a career. Can you tell me how you got started with it? Are there any books or websites that you could reccoment to me? Do you have a favorite hypnotist that you admire?

Thanks
Sophie

The music is from a program I have on the computer for generating soundwave and brainwave tech onto CD's. Depending on the specific client, I have used all types of music on my weight release CD's, but mostly ocean sounds with brainwave entrainment.

A good book, I think it is called The Wizard with Us, I heard it is good, although I have not personally read it. Contact Katherine Zimmerman, California Hypnotherapy Academy ... Katherine has an excellent program, and has some good reading materials available. If you are not able to attend her academy, she could certainly recommend someone near you.

As for hypnosis heros ??? Probably Gil Boyne ... mainly because of everything he has done and accomplished on the political arena. If it was not for the efforts and political determination of Gil Boyne, the practice of hypnosis would be sitting on some side show at a circus.

I have had an interest in hypnosis since my mid-twenties, but did nothing with it professionally until this past year. I really really enjoy it, and have never seen anything so effective in bringing about change, especially emotional release work. I recently worked with a woman who had a series of failed relationships, and had been to standard therapy for months with little to no progress. In two sessions of regression, she discovered how she had been a care taker to her suicidal father, and at the age of 6, set the mental pictures in motion that would dictate her attractions and choices throughout life. I see her occasionally, and she is experiencing happiness in her life now that she failed to experience in the past. It is amazing.

Dear Sophie.....thank you for the friendship offer.....I gratefully accept and look forward to exchanging and sharing with you ...... for training purposes I recommend The Bryan Method of Hypnoanalysis (which I will be happy to provide you cds for) and reading the books by Dr. Daniel L. Araoz, Ed.D. starting with The New Hypnosis (which can be ordered from amazon.com)......there are many excellent books on hypnosis out there, but few of them, in my opinion, give a solid clinical approach and method as does Dr. Bryan and Dr. Araoz..... another excellent book is Clinical Hypnosis: A Multidisciplinary Approach by William C. Wester, II and Alexander H. Smith, Jr......J.P. Lippincott Pub, 1984......this is a journeyman's guide to the application of hypnosis.....and there are others like it....let me know if I can be of help to you!

Hello Sophie,

I had always been fascinated with the power of the mind so when a co-worker enrolled in hypnotherapy training, I joined her. As for books, I'd also recommend The Wizard Within as a beginning book. Once you find a school I'd say read Gil Boyne's Transforming Therapy and anything by Randal Churchill. Also, Hypnotherapy by Dave Elman -- it's a classic. My mentor is Gil Boyne -- he's been practicing for 55 years and has transformed the way we work with people.

I got started when I used hypnosis to heal myself of irritable bowel syndrome and fibromyalgia. I sold my consulting business and went into hypnotherapy full time. I've never looked back and doubt I ever will. There are so many books.....where to start? Personally, I think the absolute best book for someone in your position is The Wizard Within by Dr. Al.Krasner. You can google him and order it or ask Roger Moore on this site how to contact Dr. Krasner. If I were going to teach basic hypnotherapy classes I would make it required reading. In NY there are a number of good hypnosis instructors but I would probably recommend John Cerbone or, if you are closer to NJ then I would recommend Jaime Feldman in Manalpan, NJ.
