Some of the clients some of the time WILL need regression in order to discover and release the core cause, otherwise the results might be either temporary or partial. Roy Hunter, M.S., FAPHP www.royhunter.com PS: If you are not trained in regressio…

Roy....one of the reasons age regression hypnotherapy is discouraged is that it could create false memory (the subconscious mind does not know the difference between fantasy and reality). Or it could dredge up trauma in childhood that would cause ev…

Sue, how long have you been working with this client, and has she had a steady weight loss up until the 4 pound weight gain? If so, I would find out anything significant that might have happened in her life that week, suspend the weight loss therapy…

First off, hypnosis is not the cause of her weight gain. Plus, you said it yourself, this client has many issues. These issues or issue could be the source of her weight gain.

Hi Sue,

The Rapid Phobia "cure" ( I prefer to call it the Rapid Phobia technique) and movie projector rewind are highly effective techniques as is the Ellner/Barsky - "Make a Fist" technique below. One thing to remember is all of the scripts and techniques that you are considering using are like recipes and you are a master chef - Feel free to modify and change them to your personal taste.

However, as soon as you realize that there is no magic in any of the techniques that we use - You will begin to view the techniques that you use as tools in your tool box and develop the ability to choose a tool without really thinking about it based on what is happening in your intake/pre-talk. It's like driving a car - once you master the basics you begin to drive automatically without really thinking about what you are doing - You know what to do....

The magic is in exciting your clients imagination for change and it starts with giving them a reason to believe that hypnosis/NLP will help during your initial contact and during your intake/pre-talk -- If the client goes into the hypnotic/NLP ritual expecting benefit they will come out of the ritual with the emotional charge necessary for taking the actions needed to achieve their desired outcome(s).

Now to answer your question: The best technique for any client issue is the technique that your client feels will help them help themselves. I offer my clients brief overviews of several techniques and ask the client to choose the one they think will be the best approach to helping them reach their goal and follow my clients lead... When a client decides this is the best technique for me -- they are unconsciously agreeing the technique will work for them.

FYI - The "Make a Fist" technique below can easily be utilized to help people with a wide range of phobias.

Try the Ellner/Barsky --"Make a Fist" technique yourself and discover how easy it is to use this 3 to 5 minute exercise to release toxic emotions and feelings:
Close and open your eyes... Inhale and exhale deeply... Now create a safe space in your mind and allow yourself to feel what ever is disturbing or upsetting - get in touch with the feelings and as you do make a fist with your right hand, release the fist.
2. Inhale, and exhale deeply and close and open your eyes.
3. Now picture yourself in your mind as follows: You are having a great hair day; You are at your ideal weight; Your skin is glowing with health; Your eyes are sparkling with confidence, and there is a big smile on your face - because your heart is happy, your mind is peaceful and your spirit is playful. Excellent—now enjoy those feelings as you make a fist with your left hand and release it.
4. Now inhale and exhale deeply and gently close and open your eyes. Okay, now count to ten and at the count of ten; make a fist with both hands at the same time. Now just relax and mentally count to five before opening your fists...
Feeling better? Now try to get in touch with the unwanted emotions and feelings.... Amazing huh?
Now the mastery is in making it reasonable to believe that this rapid approach will be effective during your client's intake and pre-talk...

I am not sure what you had in mind concerting the Mentoring-- I do not need an assistant. but, I do accept hypnosis practitioners for personal mentoring and development and my fees are reasonable and affordable...
FYI -- Many of the people that I have mentored have gone on to distinguish themselves in the field, all of the people I have mentored have become masterful hypnosis practitioners.
