Scott, Melissa, fellow presenters and all who have put so much effort into making the HypnoSummit the wonderful experience it is, I am saddened to hear of this wretched violation of our stuff. I do consider it a mark of success to create something s…

When working with hypnosis naive clients, I use a long formal fixation induction with progressive relaxation, etc deepening (45mins) on the first session. With well-conditioned clients I many use rapid induction on the first session. I use a rapid s…

About Me:
I was trained in hypnotherapy by the incomparable Gil Boyne and mentored by Ormond McGill and John Zulli. I was trained in acupuncture in the Chinese Barefoot Doctor tradition and now teach that program in Oklahoma. I utilize hypnotherapy, reiki, acupuncture, reflexology, herbs, and dietary therapy to help my clients harmonize their lives, particularly in resolving pain and trauma. In 1995 I founded Hypnosis AIDS Project in Los Angeles, which has now become First Medicines with a global mission to reduce suffering through traditional and integrative therapies. I have presented my HIV-Hypnotherapy protocols at the United Nations in Geneva and led outreach projects in Guatemala, South India after the tsunami, and New Orleans after Katrina. After 25 years in Los Angeles, I now reside in Oklahoma City, trading my 45+ minute freeway commute to a five minute jaunt. I still travel for conferences and expos, along with intermittent practice in Beverly Hills, plus spending time with my 6 year old grandson Tobin in Austin and my parents at the family ranch in the Oklahoma Panhandle.
Hobbies:
Study of history, religion, and healing arts. Camping, hiking, and surfing. Gardening. Goofing off with family and friends.

Good to see you here my friend. Cruise on over to the medical, health and wellness group and consider joining. I need your help there. A Chinese medicine approach would be awesome.

Daytime dreaming to me is a form of waking hypnosis and also a way for your unconscious mind to realize those things in life that you want to accomplish... ala NLP. I'm not necessarily talking about daydreaming, but actually settiing aside some time…

Kelly, the redirection to joy is an interesting concept. Has nothing to do with getting a new car for Christmas! I believe the reason emotions fail, and then prevail over actions is due to what the Behavioral Psychologists term "Associational Lear…

Thank you, Paul. I agree wholeheartedly with the need to redirect to JOY. It seems most all hypno paths lead to that desired destination. I love your Christmas Grief idea; I had two calls just yesterday involving that issue as this is the season tha…

Excellent point James! Spock IS "so showy" (and frighteningly authoritarian) with his techniques, and he therefore most probably DOES "give all Vulcans a bad name". As a matter of fact, his signature "Vulcan Mind-Meld" technique looks UNCANNILY like…
