I have learned the power of hypnosis through the impact on my life and the lives of thousands of people that I have worked with over the last 30 something years. For most of my adult life I practiced psychotherapy specializing in counseling hypnotherapy. I practiced in three different states and two countries and always made an exceptional living. Life changes and I have change also. I now practice Hypnotic-Coaching ™. Hypnotic-Coaching™ was first credentialed as an independent hypnosis modality in 2007 by the International Association of Counselors and Therapists and approved by the Colorado Department of Higher Education for certification as occupational training the same year. Hypnotic-Coaching ™ is a natural evolution of the use of hypnosis in combination with life coaching tools and techniques. Like the Life Coach, the Hypnotic-Coach™ acts as a partner with their client. I have dedicated much of my life to helping people heal themselves. I can now see that Hypnotic-Coaching™ is a perfect model to do that! I have a line of Hypnosis CDs for the public and have written and self published over twenty-seven books for Hypnosis practitioners. I am the Director of the Colorado Coaching and Hypnotherapy Training Institute. I have two private practices:1400 16th St. Suite #400 in Denver, Colorado 80202 and 200 Lincoln St. Longmont, CO. 80501 Please visit my web sites www.zoilitagrant.net www.hypnotherapyproducts.net or www.coloradohypnotherapy.com

I found it but it does not seem to apply to a person who is addicted to prescription pain relievers and does not use recreationaly..there is legitimate pain..and insight? What is the danger of stopping the use of the meds, even a low dose? Are there dangerous possibilities?

I read your posts and am very impressed with your insight. I am working with a client who wants to get off of oxicodone that he was put on a few years ago for his knee. Can you add any tips?
Thanks
Fern

Hello again Zoilita,

Thank you so much for your help. It is great to be able to turn to such a wonderful resource such as yourself. I couldn't imagine how long and how much money it would take through trial and error to get a business up and running. I do have one more question I thought of this morning. How should I structure the business? Just file a DBA? Set it up as an LLC, S corp, C corp and why?

Thank you again and I hope I am not being a bother.

Hi Zoilita,

Thank you so much for your reply. I have so many questions so I will just hit you with some of the big ones.

Should I get insurance before I even find an office?

Where is the best place to get insurance and do I need to belong to a professional organization to get insurance?

What comes first business cards or office? I was thinking I should order at least a small number of business cards so that I can start marketing myself because I have already had requests for sessions in people’s homes for weight loss and stop smoking. Then when I do get an office I can order more cards with my address.

As far as an office is concerned what is more important location or marketing? Meaning if I can save a couple hundred dollars a month by getting an office on a side street should I do that or spend the extra money for a building on a main street?

Also concerning an office; I may have an opportunity to share an office with an acupuncturist and I was wondering if this is a good idea or would I be shooting myself in the foot because we would be going for the same client base (smoking cessation, weight loss, stress, etc)?

Once I get myself established I am sure I will have more questions about marketing and actually running the business but for now I really want to get up and running.

By the way, just so you have a little background on me...

I am certified by Richard Nongard and the ICBCH.
I have completed Jerry Kein's basic to advanced home study course, twice (bought it used and therefore did not receive certification through Jerry).
I have also completed Cal Banyan's 5 path course (also bought that used so again no certification).
I have completed Igor ledochowski's course in conversational hypnosis.

So you can see that I have dedicated some time to learning how to be a good hypnotist and now I look to you for some wisdom in setting up a successful business.

Thank you again for your time.
Jack
