- About Me:
- Live in North Pole, Alaska. I love cold weather... from 0F to minus 30F is my favorite time, as it is the best time to run sled dogs. I have a husband, 3 grown and moved out children in the local area, a big old poodle, 2 birds, fish, an occasional visiting classroom guinea pig and what ever other animals can find their way in for a short time.
I have been fascinated by hypnosis since 7th grade, but just recently realized I could actually learn how to do it professionally. Unfortunately I have a skeptical husband, so I am kind of working on this behind the scenes. Hopefully he will come around, by the time he sees me getting results with real clients!
I work for our school system as a teachers aide in a SPpecial ED, pre K classroom. I love that too!

- I am involved with dog sledding ( have to borrow dogs though), North Pole Christmas in Ice, an ice-carving competition starting the first weekend of December. I am the PR Elf. You will see live shots from web cams if you go on the site below. It is a reeeeeal COOL event. I learned to carve ice last year and finally got to carve a full size piece this year. Pictures to be posted shortly. I am an amateur photographer, and my focus this winter will be aurora / night time shots and better ice sculpture photos.

Having been there gold mining, you are a bit more isolated but we probably have more bears. Our problem is infrastructure. Our copper is almost 100 years old. Verizon bought out Continental Telephone ten years back and claims that give them immunity from regulations here on the valley. Our cost is up and service is down. Your infrastructure is probably newer. So is almost every third world country, I don't even have cellular service. But the skies are the darkest in the US so it is a great place for big telescopes.
