Thanks for all the kudos on the Hypnotist In The News etc......this story was a result of a chance encounter with the television reporter in WalMart's .....I volunteered, she needed a story and the rest is history.....since the showing of it I have gotten lots of calls from attorneys and nurses at hospitals etc....and a healthy dose of recognition from the community etc.....we need to stand up and speak out ......and let the world know about the work we do...... click on the link below for further encouragement.....If I can help anyone on this feel free to get in touch with me!!!!!!

Great Job Ray!!!!

That was a wonderfully positive presentation of hypnosis and its effectiveness. You did a great job of bringing credit to our profession. It would be great if you would share insight as to how the spot came to be. Perhaps some of the positive posters on the site will get ideas that they can use to bring positive attention to Hypnosis in their own areas.

Everyone who clicks on the article should know that the link has both an article and a streaming video. Every positive professional hypnotist can go after such opportunities. You have reminded me to redouble my efforts at getting additional publicity.

Has everyone been noticing how much more positive the public perception of our field has become. Even when the presentation is not exactly to our liking it tends to talk about hypnosis as a very effective tool. A show like Criminal Minds used arguably its most intelligent character, Dr. Reed to say that Hypnosis was easily the best way to stop smoking. There have been other things as well, but how can you beat the positive presentation on The Mentalist. Each of us may notice dramatic license taken to move the storylines along, but basically, hypnosis is presented as a useful tool. There was lots of positive stuff on NLP as well, last year.

We can all keep looking for the positive presentations of hypnosis and focus public attention on them.

Haha well done! I was expecting another news flash of some idiot running round the streets doing stupid things and giving us a bad name.

But well done for getting in the news.

Michael, As can I. However, some techniques I was originally taught in class were specified for only pain of a non-medically assignable cause. Needless to say, I have also moved on since then. John
